A documentary revealing the truth behind the world’s most famous and most controversial diet. The Atkins diet says that eating fat can make you thin.

The diet says you don’t need to bother watching the calories. Rene Zellweger, Geri Halliwell and a host of other celebrities swear by it.

But a lot of health professionals think it’s scientific nonsense; many believe it might actually be dangerous. This film sets out to cut through the confusion to give you the answers about the controversial lifestyle.

When Dr. Atkins first released his diet to the public, he was accused of breaking one of the most fundamental laws of thermodynamics.

Scientists said that if you eat more, you’ll get fatter. They also said it could kill. Fat increases your cholesterol levels. You could even suffer a heart attack.

But there was just one problem, the people following the Atkins diet lost weight while the rest of us got fatter. And then the studies published showed that cholesterol level and triglyceride levels improved on the diet.

How can this be? What was going on? The investigation seems to show that the diet may work, but the reason behind it was something that scientists or Atkins himself had considered.
