A 1944 documentary about the story of the flying fortress known as the Memphis Belle, the film documents the Boeing B-17’s final mission and its crew.

In May 1943, this flying fortress became the first US Army Air Forces heavy bomber to successfully complete twenty-five missions over the war in Europe and return home to the United States.

Narrated by Eugene Kern, watch as this dramatic film captures the real battles of World War Two using a 16mm color film made by cinematographer First Lieutenant Harold J. Tannenbaum.
