In 2005, New Orleans media reported that a natural disaster had struck the city. The media’s inability, to tell the truth, was soon unraveled when the real reason behind the floods that caused widespread damage, was in fact not caused by a natural disaster at all. Manmade engineering errors caused it.

What happened in New Orleans could happen again in other cities across the United States.

Following two scientific investigators and a whistleblower, The Big Uneasy reveals the true story of how and why the city was flooded. The documentary takes an inside look at how the disaster could have been avoided and how other major US cities are at risk.
