This film follows the tree-top struggle of those who are protesting against the construction of a new road round the English town of Newbury. The protesters arguments are candid and intelligent, rising above the stereotypical subculture reports. As spring nears in Britain, the British Tree people’s battles get angrier and bloodier. In one attack protesters watch as a tree falls onto one the police climbers.
On one morning, bulldozers appear suddenly appear, and men in fluorescent coats and riot helmets are lifted by roaring cranes to the top branches. The protesters throw paint and urine at them.
