Holy Ghost People
People worshipping Jesus with snakes.
A 1967 documentary chronicling a Pentecostal Christian service in Scrabble Creek, West Virginia, revealing the compelling stories of church members during their religious snake-handling ritual.
Throughout the film we see the members engaged not only in prayers, preaching, and singing, but also in activities such as speaking in tongues, healing through the laying of hands, and snake handling.
Participants reveal the stories of how they found salvation through the Holy Ghost and how the Holy Ghost saves them in their daily lives.
Some of the members can speak in tongues, while others tell us how they can communicate with God, who sometimes paralyzes them.
