Created using over 25 hours on unheard audio interviews, this documentary is an intimate meditation about Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain.

The interviews were initially recorded by journalist Michael Azerrad for his book Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana – a song recorded on Nirvana’s second album Nevermind.

From his childhood to adolescence years, Cobain recounts his days of musical discovery and how he dealt with becoming famous.

About a Son is a piercing insight into the life and times of a real rock star and is a must for any Nirvana fan.

The conversations heard in the film have never before been made public and they reveal a highly personal portrait of an artist much discussed but not particularly well understood.
