Eric Rutherford is dying of a cancer called Myeloma, and one of the side effects of Myeloma is it damages the kidneys. Eric thinks that a drug called Revlimid would extend his life, but it is so expensive that the NHS hasn’t yet decided if we as a nation can afford it. Without it Eric has no other treatment. Over eight months Adam Wishart follows Eric and his wife Anne as they fight for his life.
