Diabetes is a chronic disease that over 260 million deal with around the world. In the past ten years, type 2 diabetes has tripled in the United States alone.

It’s a lifestyle disease that comes down to one thing; diabetes is caused by what you’re putting in your mouth.

America has the most overweight people in the history of the human race, and 1 out of every three children born after the year 2000 will get diabetes. And what’s the reason? When you cook the food, you lose 50% of the protein, 70% to 80% of the vitamins and minerals, and close to 100% of the phytonutrients.

The documentary Simply Raw follows six everyday Americans living with diabetes who set out to change their lifestyles by switching from their regular foods to an entirely vegan diet without the use of pharmaceutical medication.

They set themselves a challenge for 30 days that will see them give up a list of foods including meat, dairy, sugar, soda, and all processed foods.

The film captures not only the medical and physical transformations, but the emotional journey each challenged themselves to by switching to a raw diabetic diet, and how nature is truly the first medicine we should all be consuming.

Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days documents each of the six individuals before they begin the program in their home environment. Each one speaks candidly about their everyday challenges of living with diabetes and how it has affected their daily lives, from work to home to their relationships.

    1. I dont know, but just start eating like they did , do a search for plant based food.. recipes.. and such.. you can do it =)

  1. This video was one of the primary influences in attempting to eat Raw. I was eating probably 70%-30% (raw:”regular” foods) and I felt GREAT. What was truly amazing to me was how much of a difference I noted when I would eat some of those “regular” foods and feel my energy levels drop and my nerves feel grinding

  2. Very inspiring. Sadly most people remain ignorant about the potency of raw vegan food to cure them of illness and they suffer and die unnecessarily. Industry would rather sell you and your kids burgers and fries and have you get sick and die than have you discover the truth and put your money elsewhere.
