As US and British forces get ready to leave Afghanistan, we take a look at misconducts and corruption of the security forces. For Ben Anderson, who have lived in Afghanistan for the past six years, he not convinced that the legacy left behind by US and British forces has really helped the country break free from their troubled past, but instead, a country that is still at war with itself.
The Afghan Police still continue to kidnap civilians for ransom or as bargaining chips in prisoner exchanges. Weapons, petrol and other equipment supplied by NATO are being sold at the local bazaar, and the police officers who have never existed fill the payroll sheets.
